On the World Whisky Index you have the possibility to ship bottles. However, some bottles are so special that we want to preserve them. Whisky gems like the Springbank 1919 and Black Bowmore make this platform unique, which benefits you as a trader/investor. Therefore some bottles are secured. You remain owner, but the bottle stays in the World Whisky Index vault. So the bottle can be traded, but not shipped.

Which bottles are involved?

Bottles that are:

  • older than 30 years, and/or
  • distilled before 1980.

If you have secured bottles in your portfolio, you get a 15% discount on the management fee of your entire portfolio and the secured bottles are added to the Rare whisky index or Ultra rare whisky index

I want this removed. Is that possible?

No.
